Brake Flush

What is the part that needs repair, and what does it do?

When you press on your brake pedal, the car presses an incompressible fluid called brake fluid into your brake pads, which then press on your brake discs, slowing the car down using friction. Brake flushing is the complete replacement of that brake fluid.

How did this part get damaged or worn on my car?  What is wrong with it?

As with all car parts, every brake system deteriorates slowly. Moisture and other contaminants can get in the brake fluid. As the brake fluid heats up during braking, it also tends to break down, losing the properties that make it effective.

What other problems can this issue cause?

Impurities in the brake fluid impair your car’s ability to stop. Moisture rusts the system and causes it to deteriorate faster. Because of this moisture damage, you might eventually have to replace parts of your brakes.
