Brake Rotor Replacement

What is the part that needs repair, and what does it do?

A brake rotor, also known as a brake disc, is the brake component attached to the wheel that the brake pad grips to slow the car with friction.

How did this part get damaged or worn on my car?  What is wrong with it?

Because it is regularly exposed to the heat and wear of friction, a brake rotor wears down steadily as you use your car. Once it gets thinner than an eighth of an inch, it needs to be replaced.

What other problems can this issue cause?

The effectiveness of a worn brake rotor continues to degrade rapidly and decrease brake performance, which is highly unsafe, especially in a hilly state like Colorado.
